Reference Number 0000304824 The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) currently operates 312 escalators in the subway system of varying age and models. As part of its Capital Programming, escalator modernizations are undertaken on a priority basis based on service life and/or condition surveys. The purpose is to gather information from companies that manufacture, supply, and install escalators. The TTC intends to identify such companies for potential participation in future supply and installation requirements for escalators over a period of up to 5 years.
