Auditorium Renovations and Cherry Hill High School West 2025 Auditorium Renovations. B. School Specific Summary Scope of Work: 1. Cherry Hill High School East - Auditorium Renovations: a. General Construction Renovation Work: The Project work includes renovations throughout the Auditorium space including but not limited to: the removal of the existing VAT flooring (see Asbestos Abatement Work), carpeting, seating and wall finishes in their entirety, the reconfiguration of new Vestibule at the entrance, the construction of a new sound booth, new doors and hardware, new carpet flooring and painted flooring under the new seats, the installation of phenolic wall panels with acoustical sound panels, new smoke hatches above the existing stage area, roofing, exterior facade restoration with new metal wall panels, miscellaneous roofing, new concrete slab work for new control room and adjacent handicap floor area with new stud knee walls and railings and all other work as indicated on the Contract Documents. b. Structural Construction Renovation Work: The Project work includes the structural reinforcing of the exterior wall, existing steel frame roof deck to accommodate the smoke hatches, ladders and stage rigging platform, fall protection lifelines for catwalks and ladders with safety closing gates and masonry brick facade restoration at the exterior walls of the Auditorium. New structural work also includes steel dunnage platforms for supporting the new RTUs with structural reinforcing at existing roof steel level in the lobby. c. Mechanical Construction Renovation Work: The Project work includes replacement of the existing HVAC systems with new systems, including all electrical modifications throughout the Auditorium and roofing work as indicated on the Contract Documents. d. Plumbing Construction: The Project work includes the modification of existing roof drain piping above the new stage rigging platform, insulation of this piping and all other work as indicated on the Contract Documents. e. Electrical Construction Renovation Work: The Project work includes new Electrical Panels, Feeders, Circuits and Connections for new HVAC systems, interior lighting systems, theatrical lighting and sound systems, data systems wiring and a new IT Rack and all other work as indicated on the Contract Documents. f. Theatrical Renovation Work: The Project work includes a complete replacement of the theatrical rigging system, theatrical AV system, and theatrical lighting system as indicated on the contract documents. g. Asbestos Abatement Renovation Work: See the Technical Specification along with the Asbestos Abatement Drawings which were prepared by TTI Environmental, Inc. For Clarification, this work shall be included in the Contractor's lump sum bid for this project. 2. Cherry Hill High School East - Little Theater Renovations: a. General Construction Renovation Work: The Project work includes work as indicated on the Contract Documents. b. Electrical Construction Renovation Work: The Project work includes new Feeders, Electrical Panel, Circuits and Connections for new theatrical systems, interior lighting systems, theatrical lighting and sound systems and all other work as indicated on the Contract Documents. c. Theatrical Renovation Work: The Project work includes a limited replacement / upgrade of the theatrical rigging, AV, and lighting systems as indicated on the contract documents. 3. Cherry Hill High School West - 2002 Auditorium Renovations: a. General Construction Renovation Work: The Project work includes renovations throughout the Auditorium space including but not limited to: the removal of the selective seating in a couple of areas for the construction of a new Electrical Closet and new sound control platform with new concrete slab work over new stud knee walls in the rear of the Auditorium, EPDM roofing replacement in selective wet areas, roof drain replacement and a 20-year warranty coating, existing stair safety nosings, modification to existing stairs at stage floor and all other work as indicated on the Contract Documents. b. Structural Construction Renovation Work: The Project work includes work as indicated on the Contract Documents. c. Mechanical Construction Renovation Work: The Project work includes replacement of the existing HVAC systems with new systems, including all electrical modifications throughout the Auditorium as indicated on the Contract Documents. d. Plumbing Construction: The project work includes new roof drains and associated piping modifications and insulation of the piping and all other work as indicated on Construction Documents. e. Electrical Construction Renovation Work: The Project work includes new Electrical Panels, Feeders, Circuits and Connections for new HVAC systems, interior lighting systems, theatrical lighting and sound systems, data wiring and tie-ins at an existing data rack and all other work as indicated on the Contract Documents. f. Theatrical Renovation Work: The Project work includes a complete replacement of the rigging system, theatrical AV system, and theatrical lighting system as indicated on the contract documents. g. Asbestos Abatement Renovation Work: See the Technical Specification along with the Asbestos Abatement Drawings which were prepared by TTI Environmental, Inc. For Clarification, this work shall be included in the Contractor's lump sum bid for this project. 4. Cherry Hill High School West - 1963 Original Auditorium / Old Theater Renovations: a. General Construction Renovation Work: The Project work includes work as indicated on the Contract Documents. b. Electrical Construction Renovation Work: The Project work includes new Feeders, Electrical Panel, Circuits and Connections for new theatrical systems, interior lighting systems, theatrical lighting and sound systems and all other work as indicated on the Contract Documents. c. Theatrical Renovation Work: The Project work includes a limited replacement / upgrade of the rigging system, and theatrical lighting system as indicated on the contract documents. a. Cherry Hill High School East - Auditorium Renovations: The On Site Construction is to start on March 30, 2026 and continue until Substantial Completion which is January 1, 2027. b. Cherry Hill High School East - Little Theater Renovations: The On Site Construction is to start on June 29, 2026 and continue until Substantial Completion which is August 14, 2026. c. Cherry Hill High School West - 1963 Original Auditorium / Old Theater Renovations: The On Site Construction is to start on June 29, 2026 and continue until Substantial Completion which is August 14, 2026. d. Cherry Hill High School West - 2002 Auditorium Renovations: The On Site Construction is to start on March 29, 2027 and continue until Substantial Completion which is August 13, 2027. Question Deadline 11/05/2025 at 5:00 PM ET (email to jminniti@garrisonarch.com) Friday 11/07/25 Deadline for Addendum Issued to Bidders, if necessary Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check or Bid Bond in the form provided in the Contract Documents, with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner, in an amount of 10% of the Base Bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24, naming as payee or obligee, as applicable, Cherry Hill Township Board of Education, to be retained and applied by the undersigned as provided in the Contract Documents in case the successful Bidder defaults in executing the Agreement or furnishing the bonds and insurance certificates as required by the Contract Documents. The Bidders shall submit, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18(b)(2), one Lump Sum Bid for all the work and materials. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) with at least the DPMC classification associated with the work they intend to directly perform or, if Bidder will not directly perform any work, with DPMC classification C006, C008, or C009. Bidders' Prime Subcontractors, defined as those listed in N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18, must be pre-qualified by DPMC with the DPMC classification associated with the work they intend to directly perform or subcontract. The Bidder and named Prime Subcontractors must be pre-qualified prior to the date that bids are received. The Owner is requesting that copies of the Public Works Contractor Registration Certificates for Bidder and its named Prime Subcontractors be included in the Bidder's Bid Package, but the Bidder must provide copies of the Certificates no later than the time of award. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 all business organizations that do business with a local contracting agency, including Bidders and Named Prime Subcontractors, are required to be registered with the State through the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. The right is reserved to reject all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22 or to waive minor informalities, defects, and non-material exceptions. Bidders are required to comply with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq. Prospective bidders are advised that the Project is subject to a Project Labor Agreement (PLA). The successful bidder and its subcontractors (of any tier) will be bound by the terms and conditions of the PLA. After award and prior to commencement of the work, the successful bidder and its subcontractors (of any tier) must also execute the Letter of Assent in the form provided. ** Bid date info : Bids shall be addressed to the Owner whose name appears in Paragraph 1a of the Instructions to Bidders; they shall be mailed or delivered to the address stated herein, enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope, clearly marked with the name of the Bidder and the name of the Project and the Bid# as described in this Notice to Bidders; and must be received by not later than the time designated in this Notice to Bidders. No responsibility will attach to Architect or Owner for premature opening of a bid which is not properly identified.
