MoPac East Trail Bridge Redecking Request For Proposals The Lower Platte South Natural Resources District (District) is accepting proposals for a bridge redecking project on the MoPac East Trail in southeast Nebraska. The bridge is in the SW of the NE 1/4 in Section 16- Range 10N-Township 10E. This project shall include removing and disposing of all existing deck boards, railroad tie joists, and bridge railings. All bridge stringers are to be inspected for rot. Rotted stringers shall be disposed of and replaced as needed. New railroad tie joists, deck boards, and railing shall be installed. Deck boards shall be installed at a 45-degree angle across joists. Any damage to the trail or shoulder from construction shall be repaired. The Contractor shall furnish all equipment, tools, machinery, materials, supplies, labor, and services for the completion of this project. The successful bidder shall 1) supply a corporate surety bond in an amount not less than the estimated price, conditioned for the payment of all laborers and mechanics for labor that shall be performed and for the payment for material and equipment rental which is actually used or rented in performing the contract; and 2) furnish proof of adequate insurance as required by District. These requirements must be filed with and approved by the District prior to commencement of the project. The Lower Platte South Natural Resources District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive information in proposals submitted.
