The Board of Education of the County of Berkeley, Martinsburg, WV, is requesting sealed bids for the Rekeying Project at Two Public School Locations in Berkeley County, WV for their Maintenance Department. Requests for rekeying to the existing master key system at TWO public school locations: Public School Location #1 (exact location disclosed during site visit) o Replace hardware on 33 doors with commercial-grade, Grade 2 ADA-compliant levers. o Provide 39 cores keyed to match the existing 59D2 keyway. o Master key all cylinders while ensuring each lock is also keyed individually. o All hardware must be commercial-grade, Grade 2 ADA-compliant. Public School Location #2 (exact location disclosed during site visit) o Replace 232 mortise locks with new mortise locks matching the existing type within the building. o Replace 24 door handles. o Rekey all locks to the existing master system while ensuring each lock is keyed individually. o All hardware must be commercial-grade, Grade 2 ADA-compliant. The successful bidder will replace existing doorknobs and mortise locks at two public school locations in Berkeley County, WV while also keying them to the requested Master Key. Contract work shall be completed prior to February 1, 2026. Invoicing to be submitted following each install. All proposals satisfying the requirements of this RFP will be evaluated to establish which of the bidders best fulfills the needs of the Owner and this project. This RFP does not commit the Owner to award a contract, to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of the quotation, or to contract for the goods and/or services offered. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received because of this request, to rescind this RFP, if it is in the best interests of the Owner to do so. An award will be made in the best interest of the Berkeley County Board of Education.
