Site work and paving for a civil project in Port Crane, New York. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This contract resurfaces Interstate 88 and repairs isolated pavement areas from Exit 2 to 3 and from Exit 5 to the Chenango County line in the towns of Fenton and Colesville, Broome County. The ramps at exits 3 and 6 are included in the project limits. Additional work includes new guide rail/median rail installation, ground-mounted sign structure upgrades, and new pavement markings. Safety Appurtenance Program (SAFETAP) items are also addressed as resources allow. NYSDOT Region: 09 Southern Tier Construction is expected to be completed in Fall 2027. As of October 15, 2025, the project is in Conceptual status. Anticipated letting Year is 2026. NYDOT : I 88 Resurfacing, Exit 2 to 3 and Exit 5 to Chenango County Line, Broome County *Project information has been obtained through a public state transportation improvement plan (STIP). A STIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the STIP often evolves based on funding availability.
