Main Street Roadway & Sidewalk Improvement Project The active construction is anticipated to start in 2026. Bidders should note that the prices contained in the proposal will be considered valid for the duration of the construction project. This municipally managed project funded Federally through the Transportation Alternative Program (TAP) and locally by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation involves reconstructing the Main Street sidewalks and approximately 2,700 feet of Main Street roadway in the downtown Colebrook, from approximately South Main Street to the Beaver Brook bridge. The project will involve rehabilitating both the existing sidewalk and roadway and is anticipated to involve the removal of existing features, (sidewalks, curbing, deteriorated mortar rubble masonry wall); grading or modifying side slopes; installing curbing; replacing or modifying existing drainage pipes and structures as needed; reconstructing roadway shoulders; providing safe ADA compliant crossings; potential limited tree clearing (where they conflict with proposed work); and utility relocations (by others). The project does not include any work for the bridge crossing the Mohawk River.
