As part ofthe 2026 Pavement Preservation Program, this project proposes to preserve the pavement on Route 156 in Lyme/Old Lyme and Route 201 in North Stonington. This project ofbituminous concrete pavement. Catch basin tops will be reset and replaced, damaged sections ofmetal beam rail and bituminous concrete curbing will be replaced, and processed aggregate will be placed in ruts includes an asphalt rubber chip seal treatment, bituminous concrete patching, and joint and crack sealing along the edge ofroad, as needed. There are no ADA curb ramp improvements included in this project, as chip seal projects are exempt. Pavement treatment will continue across all bridges. No other bridge improvements will be included in this project. This project proposes to preserve the pavement on Route 156 in Lyme/Old Lyme and Route 201 in North Stonington. The work on Route 156 begins in East Haddam at the intersection of Route 82 (Mile Point 0.00) and ends in Old Lyme at the intersection of Route 1 (Mile Point 8.43). The work on Route 201 begins at the Stonington/North Stonington town line (Mile Point 1.94) and ends in North Stonington at the intersection of Route 2 (Norwich Westerly Road) (Mile Point 4.13).
