Renovation of an educational facility in Shannon, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
Sealed bids are requested for the roof coating projects at Shannon Primary School and Saltillo Primary School in Lee County, Mississippi. Bids can be submitted either as sealed paper bids or electronically via www.pryormorrowplans.com. All plan holders must register on the website to access and purchase non-refundable bid documents. Bid preparation should follow Section 00 21 13 - Instructions to Bidders as defined in the Project Manual. Proposals must include proposal security in the form of a certified check or acceptable bid bond for at least 5% of the base bid. The bid bond must be payable to the Owner and will be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to meet the proposal terms. Bids must remain firm for 45 days after the scheduled opening. A 100% performance-payment bond from an authorized surety company in Mississippi is required within 10 days after contract award notification. For all bids exceeding $50,000, the prime or subcontractor must include their current certificate number on the exterior of the bid envelope, or a statement verifying the bid does not exceed the $50,000 threshold. For electronic submissions, this information must be included as an attachment with the bid submittal. The owner may reject any or all bids and can waive irregularities.
