Required Services The Potomac Water Filtration Plant originally installed four traveling water screens in 1979, these traveling water screens are essential for ensuring uninterrupted water flow while preventing damage to downstream treatment equipment. Due to decades of continuous operation, these screens require a comprehensive assessment and refurbishment to restore full functionality, extend their service life, and meet modern performance and environmental standards. The Contractor is required to refurbish and rebuild four traveling water screens, and shall provide the following: 4.2. Contract Term The base term of the Contract shall be for a period of two (2) years. The contract may be extended for an additional two (2) one-year option terms, or any portion thereof, at the sole option and discretion of the Commission. All prices shall remain firm during the entire period of the contract, base and option years.
