To provide professional design services & construction administration for the replacement facility to serve 450 students at Whittier Elementary School. Albuquerque Public Schools is the largest school district in New Mexico and one of the nation's largest school districts, covering more than 1,230 square mile geographical area. Currently, APS has 13 high schools, 4 K-8 schools, 12 schools of choice, 27 middle schools, 88 elementary schools plus 30 APS authorized Charter schools. APS has approximately 75,000 students and 11,000 employees. An elected Board of Education composed of seven members serving staggered terms of four years each governs APS. The Superintendent is Dr. Gabriella Blakey. To provide professional design services & construction administration for the replacement facility to serve 450 students at Whittier Elementary School. The scope is organized in three phases, including removal of portables, construction of new facilities and site improvements followed by the demolition of site elements, utilities and selected buildings. New construction involves a two-story replacement building (approximately 45,700 sf) to house general, STEAM, SPED, and Title I classrooms; supporting spaces; administrative and nursing suites; media center; wellness and community rooms; cafeteria and kitchen. Site improvements include necessary utilities, new vehicular drop-off loops, staff/visitor parking and separate vehicular access to service areas. A site masterplan has been completed and will be provided to the selected firm MACC $29,326,232.00. APS reserves the right to discontinue negotiations with any Offeror. APS reserves the right to procure the services/goods as described in this RFQ and enter into a contract as described on RFQ front cover. APS reserves the right to audit the Contractor's records associated with this contract at any time during the contract period and for a period of up to three years following the expiration or termination of the agreement. Such audit may be conducted by APS personnel or a third party under contract with APS. APS shall give the Contractor reasonable notice prior to the conduct of any audit and upon receiving the notice from APS the Contractor agrees to fully cooperate with the auditors. If Contractor subcontracts any portion of its obligation to another party, Contractor shall guarantee APS' access to books and records of such party. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
