This project addresses ADA compliance mandates from a court order requiring completion by specified deadlines in FY25/26. The locations for improvements are Lovers Point and Prescott Ave (between Divisadero and Forest).This project has been budgeted using all anticipated remaining balances for streets and pedestrian infrastructure in FY25/26. Due to the limited availability of these funds, actual costs are expected to exceed the proposed budget. At this time actual costs are unknown. Once the project is engineered and formally bid, staff will return with options to address potential funding deficits which may include project savings from road and infrastructure projects from prior years. Lovers Point Scope of Work: Replace existing ADA ramps and construct new sidewalk at the triangle parking lot to comply with ADA standards. These improvements must be completed by October 31, 2025. Prescott Ave Scope of Work: Sidewalk infill, repairs, installation of ADA-compliant curb ramps, and upgrades to driveway approaches to meet accessibility standards. These improvements must be completed by December 31, 2025. The project is included in the City's 2026-2027 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
