Sealed bids are requested for the Niles North Pool Mechanical Replacement project. Lump Sum bid proposals must be submitted at the designated time and place and will be publicly opened and read aloud. Each bid must include a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Bank Draft in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, payable to Niles Township High School District #219. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the opening without Owner consent. Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond for the full contract amount are required from the successful bidder. Bids must be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope and clearly marked as SEALED BID. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or waive irregularities. The contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Each Bidder must complete the qualification process, as described in Section 004395 - General Requirements, and submit the required Qualification Documents with their sealed bid. Bidding documents, drawings, and project manuals may be obtained electronically at the bidder's expense. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and walk-through for prime contractors will be held, and subcontractors are encouraged but not required to attend. After the meeting, site visitation is required to view the area of work and ask questions. Non-attendance at the walk-through may be grounds for rejection of the bid. Submit requests for interpretation of the documents in writing to the Architect. Inquiries received five or more days prior to the date fixed for opening of the Bids will be given consideration. 2.
