Overview of Project: This scope of work covers the supply, installation, and commissioning of a new vacuum pump with condensate return capabilities, including all associated piping, electrical connections, and removal and disposal of existing equipment. 1) Supply and install new vacuum pump unit with integrated condensate return capabilities 2) Unit to comply with specifications outlined in Section 23 22 14 for vacuum condensate pump units. 3) Include all factory-furnished accessories: thermometer, vacuum gauge, gage glass, air-suction check valve, lifting eyes, companion flanges, low-water cutoff switch, cooling-water control, air vent, overflow drain, inlet strainer, discharge valves, vacuum and float controls, and vacuum breaker. 4) Install new piping connections per Section 23 22 13 specifications 5) Provide complete electrical hookup including factory-wired control panel, field power connections, motor starters, control wiring, and Building Automation System (BAS) interface (if applicable) per Division 23 requirements 6) Safely disconnect and remove pre-existing condensate pump including all associated piping and electrical connections, coordinate shutdown procedures to minimize system disruption, turn over removed equipment to CPS Facilities team for storage, and properly cap and secure all disconnected utilities 7) Contractor to secure necessary permits. 8) Contractor to field verify dimensions and specifics of all projects listed above before placing bid. 9) Not responsible for contractor errors as a result of non-field verification. 10) Materials and installation must comply with CPS Standards and Specifications as listed on a) SECTION 23 22 14 STEAM AND CONDENSATE HEATING SPECIALTIES b) SECTION 23 22 13 STEAM AND CONDENSATE HEATING PIPING 11) Secure job site overnight if work is not completed in one day. 12) If building or CPS properties are damaged during construction, contractor to replace and/or repair as necessary. 13) Provide necessary labor and materials to fix/correct issues preventing any or all of the projects to be marked as completed. 14) All work shall be coordinated with the Board authorized representatives to complete in an agreed upon time frame. 15) Contractor is to remove and dispose of materials torn out and any construction debris. 16) All trash must be removed off-site by contractor. 17) Clean the surrounding area and make sure all is swept of debris. 18) All questions/requests must be received two (2) business days prior to bid closing
