A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Sealed bids are being requested for the construction of a new Fire Station No. 3 at University Pkwy, Natchitoches, LA 71457. Bids shall be submitted on the proper form with the contractor's license number displayed on the outside of the envelope. Bids received after the deadline will not be considered. Electronic bids may be submitted through www.bidexpress.com. Contractors must be licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of Building Construction. Question Deadline 11/13/2025 Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request to the Architect, to reach the Architect at least seven (7) days prior to the date for receipt of Bids. Bidding documents are available electronically and may be obtained without charge from www.aeplans.com. Printed copies can be acquired through reprographic firms and/or plan rooms. Refunds for reproduction costs of the first paper plan set will be provided to bona fide prime bidders upon prompt return after the bid opening. All other plan holders are responsible for their own reproduction costs. Questions about this procedure should be directed to the Architect, Stantec Architecture Inc. Each bid must include a security deposit in the amount, form, and conditions detailed in the Information for Bidders. Bonds must be obtained from sureties listed as acceptable on the U.S. Department of Treasury Circular 570. Bids may not be withdrawn within forty-five (45) days after the opening. The contractor is required to begin mobilization and material procurement within ten (10) working days of receiving the Notice to Proceed. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held to familiarize bidders with the project requirements and contract documents, and to provide an opportunity for questions and information. Any official revisions resulting from this conference will be issued only through an addendum per the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must ensure all required attachments and certifications are executed and submitted with the proposal.
