The work for which bids are to be received consists of: The water main replacement in Park Street from Shanklin Avenue to Florida Street with section tie-ins along the east and west portion of Florida Street. This project includes the abandonment and grout filling of approximately 2460 LF of existing 6-inch, 8-inch and 12-inch water main with approximately 1150 LF of 8-inch and 12-inch PVC C-900 pipe. This project also includes the installation of approximately 90 LF of jack and bore crossing at the CSX railroad located at M.P 287 along Park Street. Work shall also include all supervision, equipment, traffic control, granular backfill, pavement restoration (milling included), flushing, disinfecting, testing and all appurtenances necessary to complete the work shown in the Drawings and Specifications. All work must be ready for satisfactory and continuous operation, in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications. The above referenced project description includes items that are part of the Itemized Base Bid. The Contractor shall be responsible for all work shown on the plans and described in the specifications pertaining to the Itemized Base Bid, regardless of the installation method chosen. The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility further reserves the right to waive informalities, and to award the contract to the lowest and most responsible bidder (or bidders), all to the advantage of the Evansville Water and Sewer Utility, or to reject all Proposals.
