The work involves a 10-year inspection of wells and pumping equipment. The general tasks are: perform initial site inspection and tests; pull pumping equipment; videotape the well with written and digital TV inspection reporting; disassemble and inspect the pumping equipment (including pump bowls, pump column, line shaft, bearings, and sleeves); refurbish or replace pumping equipment as necessary, replace stuffing box and dual airlines with a new static/pumping level gauge; reinstall pumping equipment, test the pump, disinfect, and obtain two consecutive safe samples; provide temporary submersible pumping equipment for well #1 if necessary repairs are needed. Additional items to address include well treatments (acidizing or sonar jet), adjustments to pumping capacity, VFD additions, and increasing the size of the well vent through the well pump casing, terminating at least 24 inches above the floor in a reverse bend or mushroom style cap with a 24-mesh screen.
