Replacement of approximately 600 linear feet of 16-inch sewer main with 18-inch ductile iron pipe due to streambank erosion uncovering the main near 5300 Brookwood Drive and replacement of approximately 400 linear feet of 27-inch sewer main with 30-inch ductile iron pipe due to the pipe deteriorating near 1675 Milford Church Road. Furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the construction as specified. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check or a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid. The successful bidder is required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond and labor and material payment bond, each in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the bid. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or reject any or all bids and to evaluate bids and accept any bid which in its opinion may be for the best interest of the Owner. Any bids submitted that do not include a copy of the bid bond as specified may be rejected. The Owner has the right to add to and delete from the contract once it has been awarded. Award, if made, will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Pre-qualification requirements: Only contractors who have been prequalified with the Cobb County Water System at the first public notice of this advertisement are invited to bid.
