Press Filter for Withlacoochee Water Plant The City of Valdosta reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or proposals or to make any other decisions deemed to be in the best interest of the City. The Base Bid work to be performed consists of demolition of the existing Belt Filter Press (BFP-906) and supporting structural foundations, associated BFP control panel and pad, and polymer feed system, installation of new structural foundations for the new BFP, expansion of the BFP drainage basin to fit the new BFP, installation one new BFP and process connections (including field modifications to the existing BFP to existing crossover screw transfer chute), installation of one new electrical control panel, one new liquid polymer feed system, and replacement of one Booster Pump (BP-909) for the City of Valdosta (City) located at the Withlacoochee WPCP, at 3180 Wetherington Lane, Valdosta, Georgia 31601. The work will consist of site preparation, demolition, installation, and start-up of the new equipment. All work shall be constructed as described in the Technical Specifications. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid. The Bid Security shall be in the form of Bid Bond or certified check. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of 60 days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders. In order not to provide an unfair advantage to a particular Bidder, all questions must be brought to the City's attention prior to 5:00 PM, local time, on March 3, 2026.
