Solicitation no- GA 2201-30 This project addresses the need to rehabilitate the main runway. In the 2018 Pavement Management Plan provided by GDOT Aviation Programs, PCI for this runway is PCI - 61 - Major Rehabilitation (In 2012 the PCI for this runway was PCI - 84).This project as a base bid includes: 2 inches of asphalt milling, 2-3 inches of asphalt pavement overlay, runway grooving, runway marking, taxiway taper corrections to Taxiway C, and re-designation from Runway 17-35 to Runway 18-36, and signage panel corrections for the runway re-designation and taxiway designation corrections. Additive Bid #1 includes the following: 2 inches of asphalt milling and 2-3 inch overlay on all taxiway connectors to Runway 17-35, correction to the tapers of a portion of Taxiway C east of Runway 17-35, removal of existing Taxiway A2, and 2 inches of asphalt milling and 2-3 inch overlay within Runway 17-35 Safety Area on Runway 22. Additive Bid #2 includes correction to the tapers of a portion of Taxiway C west of Runway 17-35, removal of runway pavement within the Runway 17-35 Object Free Area (OFA), drainage, grading, removal of markings on Runway 13-31, and runway closure markings for Runway 13-31. The intent of the additive bids are to be awarded if project funding is available. The possible combinations the project will be awarded is base bid, base bid + additive bid #1, or base bid + additive bid #1 + additive bid #2. DBE participation goal is 14.03%.
