The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has selected a remedy in IROD and have executed an ASAOC with the PORT, City of Seattle, and King County to conduct remedial design based on the IROD remedy. The work will be conducted with oversight by the EPA to address and clean up contaminated sediments within the 157-acre East Waterway Operable Unit (OU) of the Harbor Island Superfund Site. The selected Consultant will be responsible for conducting field investigations and preparing the necessary remediation design in accordance with the EPA Order. Detailed information regarding the Scope of Work is provided in Exhibit 1 of this solicitation. The PORT invites written proposals from qualified firms, or teams of firms interested in providing East Waterway Cleanup Design services. The PORT intends on issuing one (1) project-specific contract as a result of this solicitation. The initial period of performance of any Agreement resulting from this solicitation is expected to be five (5) years. The solicitation schedule is outlined below. The PORT intends to maintain this schedule and requests the same of firms interested in submitting a response to this solicitation. The PORT does, however, reserve the right to modify the schedule as circumstances warrant.
