Site work for a fire / police facility in Addison, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade fire / police facility.
As of November 13, 2025, project is awarded to Landmark Contractors in the amount of $165,165.40. The scope of work includes replacement of the front concrete apron and parking areas, curb modifications, asphalt paving, installation of a handicap-accessible ramp, relocation of the existing flagpole, and installation of electrical service for future LED sign and site improvements. Detailed project specifications and contract documents may be obtained from the Addison Fire Protection District Administrative Offices. All work must comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The successful contractor must furnish both a performance bond and a payment bond in the full contract amount prior to the start of work. Each bid must include a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Addison Fire Protection District in an amount equal to not less than 5% of the bid total. The District intends to award the project to the lowest responsible bidder, as determined by the District. All bidders must comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws, including Equal Employment Opportunity requirements. The Addison Fire Protection District Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any bid, or portion thereof, or to waive minor deviations from the bid documents, if it deems it is in the public interest to do so. Any questions should be directed to Battalion Chief Brian Smith: Phone: (630) 628-3100 Email: admin@addisonfire.org Project Overview and Scope of Work o The work shall include, but is not limited to, the following: o Removal and replacement of the existing concrete apron and front parking area. o Removal of the concrete curb island parallel to Vista Avenue. o Removal and expansion of the concrete curb peninsula extending east from the front of the station. o Asphalt paving of the parking area currently constructed of concrete. o Installation of a handicap-accessible concrete ramp from the parking area to the main entrance. o Removal of the existing flagpole and installation of a new flagpole at a designated location on the peninsula. o Installation of electrical service to accommodate a future LED sign and flagpole lighting.
