Site work for a civil project in Moses Lake, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project consists of replacing the concrete channel and stop gates for the Sand Dunes Wastewater Facility. Contractor will remove existing reinforced concrete channel and install approximately 14 cubic yards of reinforced concrete with 1812 pounds of steel reinforcement. The contractor will install 9 new fiberglass composite stop gates with aluminum frames and stop gate covers in the reconstructed concrete channel, in addition to 250 square feet of mesh fibergrate and associated aluminum frames. The contractor will also install 53 lineal feet of 20" C900 PVC sewer force main with two 20" gate valves and two 20" tees that will connect to an existing 20" bypass pipe and connect to the existing flow splitter chamber. The installation of the pipe will require approximately 39 square yards of HMA patching associated with the trenching area. The construction will require bypass pumping to occur when necessary for construction to proceed while allowing headworks to function. All bids shall be received before said opening time in sealed envelopes with SAND DUNES HEADWORKS STOP PLATE REPAIR marked plainly thereon. All bids shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a postal money order, cashier's check, or bond in an amount equal to 5 percent of the maximum total of the bid. All bidders shall be on the MRSC Small Works Roster prior to bid opening. Only bids from bidders who have received plans and specifications VIA the Civic Center Annex OR cityofml.com Engineering projects website will be accepted. All bids shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a postal money order, cashier's check, or bond in an amount equal to 5 percent of the maximum total amount of the bid. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract or furnish a satisfactory contract bond within the time stated in the specifications, the deposit shall be forfeited to the City. Contract Working Days: 30. Estimated Project Cost: $205,000 - $250,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids if such action is in the best interest of the City.
