Any Bidder who isin doubt asto the true meaning of any part of the Bidding Documents, or finds a discrepancy or omission therein, shall submit to the PROCUREMENT MANAGER a written request for an interpretation or correction at jscott@cityofoviedo.net Question Deadline 11/06/2025 at 5:00 PM ET Project Identification Bids are requested for the EAST MAGNOLIA STREET CROSSING OVER SWEETWATER CREEK project for the City of Oviedo, hereinafter called the OWNER, to be performed in compliance with the Contract Documents prepared by, the City of Oviedo, 400 Alexandria Boulevard, Oviedo, Florida 32765. The "ENGINEER" shall be defined as the City Engineer for the City of Oviedo or his representative. The term "PROCUREMENT MANAGER" shall be defined as the City of Oviedo Procurement Manager or a representative. Project Description and Scope of Services The East Magnolia Street Over Sweetwater Creek project involves the removal and replacement of existing pipes at the East Magnolia Street crossing of Sweetwater Creek and the repair of erosion on the south portion of the roadway. The project is located approximately 800 feet east of State 434 along East Magnolia Street. The following summarizes the key items of the scope: o Removal and replacement the existing 72-inch Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) and 36" Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) culverts and associated headwalls with a 6-foot (span) x 10-foot (rise) concrete box culvert (CBC). o Reconstruction of approximately 210 LF of East Magnolia Street with a proposed roadway typical section consisting of a two-way, two-lane facility with 10-foot travel lanes and curb and gutter concrete barrier wall in the eastbound direction, and a 36-inch single-slope traffic railing with a 2- foot outside shoulder in the westbound direction. Behind the curb and gutter concrete barrier, a 6-foot sidewalk will be constructed with pedestrian railing protecting from the drop-off. o Installation of a storm sewer system that will connect to the proposed CBC. o Installation of articulated concrete block (ACB) mats at the upstream and downstream ends of the proposed CBC. o Relocation of an existing 6-inch water main. As a part of the project, the entrance road to Sweetwater Park will also be milled and resurfaced. The overall road is 217 feet long and approximately 18 feet wide.
