Demolition and site work for a service station / car wash facility in Placentia, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a service station / car wash facility; and for site work for a service station / car wash facility.

The City of Placentia invites sealed bids for the demolition and removal of two 12,000-gallon single wall fiberglass underground fuel storage tanks, three fuel dispensers and associated piping, existing tank monitor systems, wiring and conduit. Work by the Contractor shall include all sampling, testing, reporting, paperwork and inspections needed to successfully complete all requirements of Placentia Building Department and Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA) - Environmental Services. The tanks and connected piping must be permanently closed before December 31, 2025 in accordance with H&SC, section 25298, and California Code of Regulations (CCR) title 23, chapter 16, section 2672. The additive "B" schedule work includes construction and installation of one 15,000-gallon dual compartment (10k gasoline/ 5k diesel) underground fuel storage tanks, all associated piping, wiring and spill protection, two dual hose fuel dispensers, tank and piping monitor system. All construction work shall be in accordance with the project bid documents, plans, technical specifications and all other references as depicted in strict adherence to the 2024 Greenbook, City's standards and all other State and utility agency specifications. Response Types Line Items Type of Award Lump Sum License Requirements C-61/D-40 and a State Hazardous Substance Removal Certificate Bid Bond 10.00% Payment Bond 100.00% Performance Bond 100.00% Liquidated Damages $2,800 per working day Project Duration 70 working days The Work consists of the following: i. Demolition /removal of: a) Two 12,000 gallon single wall fiberglass underground fuel storage tanks. b) Three fuel dispensers and associated piping. c) Existing tank monitor systems, wiring and conduit. Work by the Contractor should include all sampling, testing, reporting, paperwork and inspections needed to successfully complete all requirements of Placentia Building Department and Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA) - Environmental Services. Contractor is responsible for scheduling all inspections for the building permit. These inspections are separate from Public Works inspections. ii. Summary Project Description: Construction / Installation of: a) One 15,000 gallon dual compartment (10K gasoline / 5K diesel) underground fuel storage tanks.b) All associated piping, wiring and spill protection. c) Two dual hose fuel dispensers. d) Tank and piping monitor system.
