The purpose of this Request for Proposals ("RFP") process is to select a qualified civil constructor to enter into a Civil Installation agreement with Foothills County for the supply of materials and installation of the underground conduit and vaults. Proponents are invited to submit proposals for the provision of services and materials as specified in the Request for Proposal (RFP). Foothills County seeks a Proponent to provide material and civil installation services to install approximately 7.5 kilometers of 32mm HDPE underground duct at a minimum depth of 1 meter below grade, as well as the installation of 9 vaults along the HDPE placement route. COUNTY seeks a Proponent to provide material and civil installation services to install approximately 7.5 kilometers of 32mm HDPE underground duct at a minimum depth of 1 meter below grade, as well as the installation of 9 vaults along the HDPE placement route, in accordance with the engineering drawing package and other documents attached hereto. The IFR Design Package contains the following: 1. Route alignment 2. Conduit placement 3. Vault placement and grounding 4. Utility crossing locations Proponent Responsibilities: 1. Supply of 32mm conduit ((including couplers), and vaults (including grounding rods and grounding cable) 2. The supply of marker posts for vaults 3. Installation of conduit via plowing, horizontal directional drilling and/or open cut trenching 4. Installation of vaults and grounding, including the supply of gravel, incidentals and consumables 5. Installation of marker posts for vaults 6. Providing of Hydrovac services to daylight existing utilities and support drilling operations 7. Hydrovac slurry disposal to take place at the Foothills Regional Landfill at a current cost of $67/MT 8. Provision of pre-construction survey services 9. Provision of as-built drawings, including surveyed coordinates for all installed vaults 10. Provision of traffic control 11. Safe installation of conduit across existing utilities in accordance with applicable laws, utility standards, and Alberta Utility Safety Partners requirements 12.
