The primary objective is to engage a qualified, safety conscious, responsible company with a high degree of customer service to enter into a written service agreement to provide only the solid waste collection services. Proposals are required for residential (curbside/lane) collection of waste materials using an automated service vehicle. The Black Waste Bins are provided by the Town, and proponents may propose a new pickup schedule or continue the established one. The service is to be offered to all practical forms of residential units and mobile home parks, excluding some apartments and multi-family condos, which are under the commercial refuse collection program. All hauling and disposal of solid waste within the municipal boundaries must be taken to the Foothills Regional Landfill & Resource Recovery Centre. Proposals should be submitted by qualified bidders following the service specifications described.
