Renovation of a medical facility in New Westminster, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

The purpose of this Request for Pre-Qualifications ("RFPQ") is to invite interested Construction Manager ("Respondents") to submit Responses indicating their interest in and qualifications for the Royal Columbian Hospital Redevelopment Project Phase 3. This phase involves the renovation of eight (8) departments, support programs, and associated infrastructure within an operational hospital environment. Post Phase 3, future phases will renovate another 19 programs within the older buildings of the Royal Columbian Hospital campus. Based on these Responses, Fraser Health Authority ("Authority") intends to select, in accordance with the terms of this RFPQ, a short-list of Respondents to participate in the next stage of the Construction Manager RFP process. Phase 3 focuses on the renovation and infrastructure upgrades of 8 departments, and supporting services, within the existing hospital footprint, along with a partial expansion. 1. Pharmacy 2. Cardiac Diagnostics 3. Neurodiagnostic 4. Main Lab 5. Medical Imaging (Renovation and expansion) 6. Concierge 7. Cafe 8. Admin & Staff Wellness The Project will involve targeted upgrades across various areas within three of the five buildings in the existing operational hospital campus. The scope includes interior renovations within active hospital zones, requiring careful planning and execution to ensure continuity of patient care and hospital operations. This will include demolition of existing infrastructure, mechanical, electrical, and structural upgrades, as well as an expansion to one of the CT. The work may also impact on-site parking and potentially extend to offsite road modifications. Given the complexity of renovating in a live healthcare environment, the project will require comprehensive infection control and phasing strategies, closely coordinated with hospital staff, infection control teams, and clinical operations. Ensuring patient and staff safety while maintaining functional healthcare services will be a primary objective. The successful Respondents shall collaborate with Managing Consultant team secured by the Authority to deliver the services achieving optimized construction and construction budget. The Phase 3 renovations withing the existing operational hospital will require maintaining continuity of operations and avoiding interruption to ongoing services. The upgrades to MEP infrastructure will require specialized attention to the sequencing planning of the Works.
