The contractor is required to provide all supervision, equipment, labor, material, and all necessary licenses and permits to deliver general trash removal services. This includes the removal and pickup of trash, placement of containers, and disposal of trash/rubbish at various Philadelphia Gas Works locations. The contractor must also collect and recycle wood, tires, metal, and plastic from specified sites on an as-needed basis per site, with an assortment of container sizes (roll-off and/or load front) provided. Bidders must complete and submit all required documents, ensure current certifications are included if claiming minority, woman, veteran, or disabled business status, and provide current insurance coverage naming PGW and PFMC as additional insured. Bidders must also obtain all required permits. Subcontractors need PGW approval. Only activities relating directly to the scope of work are permitted. The contractor guarantees free remedy for any defects in workmanship and material for 12 months from final acceptance. Contractors must utilize a labor force that does not cause stoppages, picketing, or labor disturbances. Failure to comply may result in being deemed non-responsive or non-qualified.
