Demolition and site work for a residential development in Monessen, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.

The project consists of demolishing two (2) residential structures that are actively crumbling and in danger of collapsing onto the adjacent properties. The work will consist of, but not be limited to completely removing entire building, backfilling the foundations, clearing all debris, removing any trees present, placing topsoil, seeding and grading the sites to match adjacent contours. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Monessen, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of bid for construction shall be submitted with each bid. The City of Monessen has established Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) minimum participation levels (MPLs) and HUD Section 3 participation is required for contracts in excess of $100,000.00. The MBE/WBE MPSs are five percent for MBE and three percent for WBE of the dollar amount of the bid for this contract. The Contractor must make a "Good Faith Effort" to solicit MBE/WBE participation and Section 3 participation as is applicable for the project. The contractor should use the attached form - MBE/WBE SECTION 3 CONTRACT SOLICITATION AND COMMITMENT STATEMENT as documentation efforts to solicit MBE/WBE and Section 3 participation. The City of Monessen reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding.
