Sealed bids are requested to furnish materials and labor to complete HVAC upgrades and new installation and interior/exterior renovations work across specified schools within the 2019 Bond Project. Work will be structured as a multiple project contract with the following prime contracts: HVAC Construction, Electrical Construction, and General Construction. Bids should not include New York State sales and compensating use taxes for materials and supplies incorporated into the project. All interested parties must submit two copies of sealed bids clearly stating the contract number and title, and bids received after the deadline will not be accepted. Bidding and contract documents, including drawings and specifications, may be examined free of charge online or obtained as digital sets for a non-refundable fee. Each bidder must provide bid security as specified in the Instructions to Bidders and, if awarded the contract, furnish a full performance bond along with labor and material payment bonds for the full contract amount. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, subject to funding appropriations and compliance with the General Municipal Law and all other relevant statutes. The school district may reject any or all bids or waive irregularities deemed immaterial. Attendance at a pre-bid conference is requested, with an on-site walk-through provided. Compliance with New York State Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule and conditions of employment is required. No interpretation of the meaning of the Contract Documents, the existing conditions, or of the scope of Work will be made verbally.
