The Work Involved is in One (1) Contract and Consists of the Following Generally Described Work: Noel Avenue Sewer Improvements - Phase 3 o Installation of Approximately 4,255 L.f. Of 12-inch Pvc and Dip Force Main o Installation of Approximately 803 L.f. Of 10-inch Pvc and Dip Gravity Sewer o Installation of Approximately Five (5) Air Release Valves o Installation of Approximately Seven (7) Manholes o Two (2) Bored Highway Crossings and Two (2) Bored Railroad Crossings The Allotted Time for Construction of Contract is 180 Calendar Days; Liquidated Damages for Non-completion Are $1,000 Per Calendar Day. The successful bidder or bidders shall be required to furnish both an acceptable performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to negotiate with the apparent qualified best bidder or bidders to such extent as may be necessary. No bidder may withdraw his bid for 90 days, while the Owner considers the bids. Mutually agreed upon time extensions may be made if necessary. Pursuant to KRS 45A.494, a resident bidder of the Commonwealth shall be given a preference against a nonresident bidder registered in any state that gives or requires a preference to bidders from that state. The preference shall be equal to the preference given or required by the state of the nonresident bidder.
