Renovation of an educational facility in Madisonville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility; one-story above grade educational facility; and one-story above grade educational facility.

The project consists of roof replacement of three buildings: the Allied Health Building (Madisonville, KY), Shaver Building (Madisonville, KY), and Technical Office Building (Central City, KY). The work includes tearing off the existing roof membrane, sheet metal, metal counter flashings, and roof components as indicated. New rigid insulation, tapered insulation, metal components, and a 2-Ply SBS-Modified Bituminous Membrane system are to be installed as per the drawings. Also included are new roof hatches, roof access ladders, and miscellaneous masonry repairs. Bids will be received from prime contractors on a lump sum bid basis for the total project. All phases of work shall be bid to and through the Prime Contracting Firms. Bids must be submitted on the official bid document form and are subject to all the conditions described in the bid documents. A bid guarantee of at least 5% of the lump sum base bid is required. A 100% Performance Bond and a separate 100% Payment Bond, along with all required insurance, must be furnished by the successful bidder. Bidders must submit qualifications, a list of unit prices, proposed subcontractors, and a list of materials. All project documents must be processed using the Owner's web-based document collaboration system. Compliance with Kentucky Division of Air Pollution Control Regulation 401 KAR 57:011 is required, including written notification at least 10 days before starting the project. Tobacco use is prohibited on the grounds. The Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1978 applies, and registration with the Kentucky Secretary of State and compliance with KRS 45A.480 and KRS Chapter 342 workers' compensation requirements are required. Both domestic and foreign entities must be in “good standing” with the Secretary of State prior to contract award. Bids are subject to reciprocal and resident bidder preferences as outlined in Kentucky law. The Kentucky Community & Technical College System reserves the right to reject all bids and waive informalities or technicalities in the best interest of the Commonwealth.
