The scope of work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, and incidentals necessary for site reconditioning of Klampress Reconditioning #2 Type 94/890, which is a 3-belt 2.0-meter belt press at the specified location. The reconditioning includes using only new upgraded Original Equipment Manufacturer (O.E.M.) parts, new roller assemblies, removal of existing parts on site, and replacing all O.E.M. parts with upgraded O.E.M. parts until completion on site. All work shall be performed in accordance with the construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Bids must be submitted, in triplicate, on the proposal forms and accompanied by bid security on the prescribed form, payable to the City of New Port Richey, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the base bid amount. The outside of the envelope must be clearly marked with the proposer's name and full address along with the project identifier. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for faithful performance, and all bonds, insurance contracts, and certificates of insurance must be executed or countersigned by a licensed resident agent of the surety or insurance company who is qualified to do business in Florida. Bidders must hold or obtain all required contractors and business licenses as applicable. The owner will investigate the qualifications of the apparent low bidder prior to awarding a contract and reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any reason, including but not limited to lack of responsiveness or qualifications, or postponing the award for up to 120 days from the proposal opening date.
