The project involves the renovation of Suite 540 at Westwood Center for UCLA Health, Medical Center, Hospital Administration. The scope of work includes new non-load-bearing interior partition walls, doors, mechanical and electrical work, lighting, and finishes. There will also be minor modifications to the existing fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems to support the newly reconfigured space. Work will be performed off-hours and dust will be controlled with sealed plastic sheet barriers, as necessary. No lead or asbestos was identified in the pre-renovation hazardous materials survey. Only prequalified general contractors may submit bids. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference and job walk to be eligible. The successful bidder must have a current and active "B" General Contractor license and comply with all stated labor, wage, and equal opportunity requirements. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Pre-qualification requirements: Only the following prequalified general contractors may bid as Prime Contractor: 2H Construction, Cannon Constructors South, DLS Builders, HHJ Construction, Interscape Construction, Parker Brown, and POM Construction. All bidders must have a current and active California "B" General Contractor license at the time of bid submission.
