Question Deadline 10/23/2025 at 3:00 PM ET Purpose: The Office of Housing is seeking qualified vendors to submit proposals for the provision of steel door and window shield systems designed to secure and preserve vacant or abandoned properties. These systems are intended to prevent unauthorized entry, vandalism, weather damage, and other risks associated with unoccupied structures. The selected vendor(s) will provide durable, reusable, and easily installable solutions for securing residential and commercial properties across Louisville Metro, Jefferson County, Kentucky. Scope of Work The successful vendor will be expected to supply, deliver, and optionally install steel door and window protection systems that meet or exceed the specifications below. Requirements Proposals must include systems that: o Utilize high-strength steel panels or steel shields for doors and windows. o Allow for ventilation and light to enter the structure while maintaining full security. o Are reusable and capable of being installed and removed without damaging the structure. o Include universal mounting options suitable for a range of property types and sizes. o Are resistant to corrosion and suitable for long-term outdoor exposure. 15% for certified minority owned businesses 5% for certified female owned businesses; and 0.5% for certified handicapped owned businesses.
