This Project involves the selective demolition and repairs of designated area in Building V to investigate the potential lack of waterproofing material that was to be installed during the original construction. Building V has experienced multiple problems with the bottom of the doors rubbing on the concrete slab on the first and second floors, and known waterproofing failures at multiple locations on the second floor. A thorough assessment of the identified problem areas is required, including but not limited to penetrative and destructive testing on both the first and second floors, to determine the root cause of the waterproofing failure. This project will take place at Long Beach City College, Building V, located at 4901 East Carson St., Long Beach, CA 90808. The Work to be performed includes, but is not limited to: Furnish all labor, material, and equipment to mobilize, demobilize, and provide cleanup of investigative locations. Furnish all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform all concrete work as indicated in the bid documents. All materials resulting from the above operations shall be removed from the site, loaded, transported, and offloaded at an approved dump site from the project site.
