Site work for a municipal facility in Sparta, Georgia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a one-story above grade municipal facility.
The city is seeking an engineering firm or individual engineer to provide engineering and design services for its Community Development Block Grant application. The award of the contract is contingent upon the grant being funded by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. Responding firms must be technically qualified and licensed to provide design and inspection services for local, state, and federally funded projects, including engineering services and programs. The selection process will follow the RFQ package and local procurement requirements, as well as 24 CFR Part 85.36 and the Georgia Community Development Block Grant Program Recipients Manual. This is a Section 3 contract opportunity and is subject to Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements. All qualifications will be evaluated based on project approach, timing, experience, quality of work, and capacity of performance. Past performance on local government construction projects will be considered regarding timeliness, budget adherence, and quality of work. The city reserves the right to request additional information, interview consultants, waive informalities and minor irregularities, reject all submissions, or amend the procurement process. Consultants are responsible for all costs associated with their submittal.
