Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the construction of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The project includes the construction of a new transportation maintenance facility and associated administrative spaces for the Southeast Polk Community School District's Transportation Department. The scope of work includes: o Construction of new facilities and associated site paving o Modifications to existing parking areas o Demolition of the District's existing transportation maintenance facility (to occur after substantial completion of the new facility) New construction will occur in two distinct but adjacent areas on the project site: 1. Maintenance Facility (East of Existing Warehouse): This structure will include bus and maintenance work bays, parts and fluid storage areas, restrooms, and employee breakroom space. 2. Administrative Facility (South of Existing Warehouse): Connected to the existing warehousing facility, this space will include administrative offices, restrooms, and a staff breakroom. Site paving will be completed in two phases to accommodate the operational transition between the existing and new facilities. Demolition of the existing transportation maintenance facility shall not occur until the new facility has reached substantial completion and is operational. The installation of fluid and air distribution systems within the new maintenance facility, as well as the relocation and reconfiguration of the existing vehicle fueling station, will be addressed under separate contract(s). The CMAR will be expected to coordinate, as appropriate, with vendors and consultants engaged by the District for these work elements to ensure proper sequencing, integration, and site coordination.
