Amtrak is accepting Letters of Interest for Construction Services in support of the REA Building UPS Installation Project in Washington, DC. Amtrak, at its sole discretion and without discussion, will determine which Contractors are to be added to its short list for the forthcoming Invitation to Bid (IFB). WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS This project is for the construction of two new uninterruptable power supply (ups) systems at the railway express agency (rea) building in Washington, D.C. A design for the installation of a new automatic transfer switch (ats), two new ups's in a redundant configuration, and the necessary distribution to connect them to Amtrak's critical loads will be provided with the official solicitation. 100% Drawings and specifications will be included with the official solicitation. Minimum Requirements: Min. 10 years' experience with similar work, preferably in a commercial/industrial environment. Submittal Requirements: Complete the Contractor's Qualification Letter o The Name, Title, and Contact information of the Authorized Representative / Single Point-of-Contact for the upcoming solicitation. o One page demonstration of 5 similar projects the firm has completed in the last 5 years.
