Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Columbus, Ohio. Completed plans call for the construction of a 15,531-square-foot fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
Project Overview: The selected CMaR will work with the City of Columbus (Owner), and the Architect-of-Record (A/R), who are under separate contract with the City (Owner), to develop construction documents which will lead to several Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) amendments provided by the CMaR after completion of design and competitive bidding by the selected CMaR. It is anticipated that completed construction documents will be issued at one time and that the CMaR may pursue one or more bid scopes/ partial GMP amendments with particular consideration of early ordering of long-lead time products and materials. The total Project will have already been designed and permitted by the time the CMaR is under contract. The project will also include a Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) that will be issued by the City. The CMaR will follow the requirements of the CBA.
