The project is awarded to JADS Construction in the amount of $928,934.11. City of South Amboy Broadway, Phase 2 Roadway & Pedestrian Improvements NJDOT Municipal Aid FY2024 Bids must be made on the Standard Proposal Form provided in the manner designated. All prices, amounts, and signatures must be written in ink or machine printed. Bids containing any changes, alterations, whiteouts or strikeouts must be initialed in ink. The Bid must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and labeled with the City and project name. This work is subject to the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act. All bidders on this contract will be required to name all subcontractors at the time the bid is made. At the time of bid opening, contractors shall submit to the public entity the Certificates of Registration and a valid Public Works Contractor Registration for themselves and all subcontractors listed in the proposal. Bids without both valid documents for each contractor and subcontractor will not be considered. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of New Jersey P.L. 1975, C. 127. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informalities, or to accept the bid which, in its judgment, best serves the interest of the City. Contractors are required to have the enclosed documents reviewed by an attorney of their own selection for legal adequacy and requirements prior to bid submission. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Surety's Consent and a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond at the Bidder's discretion for not less than ten percent of the amount of the bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish, within ten days after the award, a Performance Bond equal to one hundred percent of the Contract Price by a Surety company authorized to do business in New Jersey. Bids must be submitted in accordance with the instructions regarding timing, envelope marking, and submission location. Bids received after the designated time and date will be returned unopened.
