Sealed bids are requested for the City of South Amboy Raritan Street Pump Station and Force Main Replacement. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the Purchasing Agent at City Hall, clearly marked with the contract title and/or bid number, and include the name and address of the bidder. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Surety's Consent and a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond for not less than ten percent of the bid amount, not to exceed $20,000, payable to the City. The Surety must also furnish Performance, Maintenance, and Payment Bonds if required. The successful bidder must provide a Surety's Corporation Performance Bond for one hundred percent of the contract price within ten days of award. Bids must be on the Standard Proposal Form, written in ink or machine printed, and any changes must be initialed in ink. The bid must include the names of all subcontractors. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered under the Public Works Contractor Registration Act and hold a valid New Jersey Business Registration Certificate. Bids lacking these documents for all parties will not be considered. This work is subject to Federal laws and regulations, including the Davis Bacon Prevailing Wage Act, and requirements of New Jersey P.L. 1975, C. 127. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, or accept the bid that best serves its interests.
