Separate sealed bids are requested for the construction of Contract 3 - Wastewater Treatment Improvements for the Town of Haughton. Bidding documents may be examined at the office of the Engineer and obtained on a USB flash drive for a nonrefundable fee. Prime Bidders must obtain Bidding Documents from the Engineers office. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equal to 5 percent of the bidders maximum bid price, in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each for 100% of the contract amount, executed by a surety named in U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570. The contract may be financed in whole or in part by bonds or by federal or other funds not immediately available at the time bids are received. Bidders may not withdraw their bids for 120 days after opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. The project is subject to the American Iron and Steel requirement, meaning all listed products made primarily of iron or steel used in this project must be produced in the United States, with certain waivers applying. Successful bidders must have an active Unique Entity ID (UEI), as verified on www.sam.gov, prior to contract award.
