The City of Chelsea (Owner) Department of Public Works herein solicits proposals for furnish of water meters and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) modules. AMI modules shall be compatible with the Owner's existing Sensus Flexnet AMI system.,. The contract shall be for one year term. The contract will procure water meters in quantities approximately as listed in the Price Proposal in quantities and at times as requested by the Owner. The Owner seeks proposals only from vendors who 1) offer single-manufacturer water meters and AMI modules 2) satisfy local reference requirements, 3) demonstrate local support resources, and 4) demonstrate product history of reliability and performance. Should the successful Responder fail to commence or diligently perform according to the terms of the contract, the successful Responder agrees to pay to the City of Chelsea, as liquidated damages, Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) per calendar day that the successful Responder fails to commence or diligently perform the work in accordance with the contract documents and/or is in violation of the contract. Liquidated damages assessed under this provision shall be deducted from any payment(s) due to the successful Responder. Question Deadline 10/27/2025 Response to Written Inquiries 10/31/2025.
