New construction of a water / sewer project in Connelly Springs, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project.

The Project consists of installation of four fiberglass flow metering manholes, one precast flow metering manhole, and all appurtenances. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Administrative and scope questions can be emailed to purchasing@burkenc.org no later than 5:00 pm local time on Friday, November 7, 2025. Answers to all submitted questions will be posted on the County website EPA MBE/WBE participation goals: MBE 10.9% WBE 10.4% These are goals that the State reports against and are not quotas. The good faith efforts must be adhered to and all forms provided regardless of what percentage utilization is achieved. State of NC MBE/WBE participation goal: 10% (combined) Table B is not required for SRP and SEL projects if you achieve 10% utilization. Work includes all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, services and documentation, and other facilities and things necessary or proper for, or incidental to the completion of the Project defined herein. B. The Contractor shall complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents. The Project is generally described by the following sequence of work: 1. Contractor shall verify exact location and depth of existing gravity sewer prior to beginning work at each new metering site. All work at each site shall be coordinated in advance with the Owner and Engineer. 2. Contractor shall set up temporary bypass pumping or pump and haul systems prior to beginning work. Bypass pumping system or pump and haul operations shall remain in place until all work is complete for the site and metering operations are confirmed by Owner and Engineer. 3. Cut existing pipe, pour new concrete base, and install new flow metering manhole and all appurtenances. 4. Field test each metering manhole after installation to confirm operations. 5. Restore all disturbed areas to original condition The Site of the Work includes property, easements, and designated work areas described in greater detail in the Contract Documents but generally located in Burke County
