The Board of Education of East China School District is accepting firm prime contractor bids for labor, material, equipment, and all other services to complete building renovations at Pine River, Belle River, and Palms Elementary Schools. The bid documents consisting of plans and specifications prepared by TMP Architecture, and front end documents including Instructions to Bidders and Bid Proposal Forms with Scopes of Work prepared by AUCH Construction may be downloaded from Precon Suite. Each proposal must be submitted on the forms furnished by the construction manager and must be completed in full. Electronic submissions will not be accepted. Proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Bond (or cashier’s check) in the amount of at least 5% of the proposal for sums over $31,321. Proposals must be firm for sixty days, and only written bids will be considered. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud during a public Teams meeting broadcast from the East China School District. Successful bidders with proposals of $50,000 or more will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of their bid, with the cost of the bond included in each proposal. All bids must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized Familial Disclosure Statement, a signed and notarized statement to comply with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act of 2012, an Equal Opportunity Statement, and an Affidavit of Compliance – Criminal Background Checks. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to award the contract to other than the lowest bidder, to waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make awards in any manner deemed to be in the best interests of the owner.
