Renovation of a mixed-use development in Flint, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) will receive bids for: Elmer Knopf Learning Center Renovations TYPE OF PROPOSAL: A single lump sum proposal is being entertained for the complete work in EACH BID CATEGORY. The bid shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the School Board, or the Superintendent of Schools. The Owner will not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or a satisfactory Surety Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price as guaranty. No bid shall be considered unless it is accompanied by the required guaranty. Certified Checks shall be made payable to Genesee Intermediate School District. Such cash, checks, or bid bonds will be returned to all except the three lowest bidders for each contract within five (5) days after the opening of bids, and the remaining cash, checks, or bid bonds will be returned promptly after the Owner and the accepted bidders have executed the Contract, or if no award has been made, within sixty (60) days after the date of the opening of bids, upon demand of the bidder at any time thereafter, so long as he has not been notified of the acceptance of his bid. Copies of the Bidding documents will also be on file for reference at the office of: The Owner The right to accept and/or reject any and all proposals and to waive any and all informalities and/or irregularities in bid proposals submitted during the bidding process is reserved by the Owner, which right may be exercised at the sole discretion of the Owner. Proposals for base bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time established for the receipt of proposals. Bidders may withdraw at any item prior to the time set for the receipt of proposals. All bids must be submitted on forms included in this proposal. All bids must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner (bidder) or any employee of the bidder and any member of the GISD School Board, Administration or Staff. Bids received without a sworn and notarized statement of disclosure WILL BE GROUNDS FOR REJECTION. Genesee Intermediate School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive any irregularities therein and accept that bid, which best serves Genesee Intermediate School District.
