The Construction Administration and Inspection services scope for this project includes, but is not limited to: inspecting the site through various stages of construction to inspect the quality of the executed work and to verify the work is in accordance with construction documents and specifications; assisting the City in obtaining permits and approvals for work; providing oversight of the project construction activities to ensure protection against defects and deficiencies in the work of contractors and their subcontractors; confirming contractors' work progress and qualities of work completed; reviewing contractor cost proposals, submittals, shop drawings, requests for information (RFIs), payment applications, and change orders, as directed by the City; performing field inspections (visual, probe, and testing) where required for completed repairs and rejecting work not conforming to project documents and specifications; attending and/or conducting project-related construction progress meetings; preparing punch list of corrective work to be performed by the contractor and any subsequent re-inspection; reviewing contractor as-builts, including documentation of the size, locations, and orientation of repairs, and facilitating the delivery of the final record drawings to the City; tracking, compiling, and categorizing all project related documents, including inspection reports, progress photos, project correspondence, meeting minutes, RFIs, and submittals, on a flash drive or CD, and delivering these to the City Project Manager after completion; providing data from construction to update Computerized Maintenance Management System per direction of City’s Water Asset Management Team; assisting with public outreach if required. The Consultant will be required to maintain all project records in electronic format using the City's web-based project management database (UNIFIER) and provide a computerized networked office platform with broadband Internet connectivity. UNIFIER training will be provided by the City.
