The City of Coronado is soliciting bids for the CDBG Door Operators project. This project consists of installing an automatic door operator to three (3) doors at the City of Coronado Library and one (1) door at the City of Coronado Community Center as shown on the construction document set prepared by Momentum Architecture, Inc. dated June 4, 2025, and permitted on June 17, 2025, Attachment A. The work includes all necessary electrical work to ensure the proper operation of the new door systems and all architectural modifications to patch and repair walls and ceilings to match adjacent existing conditions. Responses will be posted on online by close of business on November 12, 2025. Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Lump Sum Base Bid shall accompany the Bid. A digital copy of the bid bond is required with the submittal. The successful bidder will be required to possess a current State of California Class B General Building License at the time the Contract is awarded. Contractors and subcontractors must also be registered with the State of California Department of Industrial Relations per Labor Code Section 1771.1(a) and possess a City business certificate. In accordance with the California Labor Code, the Contractor must pay not less than prevailing wage rates as determined by the Director of Industrial Relations for all work done under this contract. The contractor must also adhere to applicable CDBG Federal Requirements (Attachment D).
