Professional engineering, architectural, and related design services are requested for City projects. Multiple consultants will be prequalified and may provide planning, design, bid document development, and limited construction period services for a range of project types. Project categories include retaining walls, bridges, buildings and architectural services, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), public utilities, street improvements, traffic engineering, surveying, and construction inspection. Projects generally involve straightforward scopes and limited funding or regulatory requirements. Once a project is identified, On-Call consultants will be given specific project requirements, a general project scope, and expected deliverables. Consultants are to seek clarification and finalize an agreement for the project. Each contract may involve tasks such as kick-off meetings, project area survey and verification, base map creation, team meetings, drafting project plans, developing bid documents, providing bid phase and limited construction period services, and delivering as-built record drawings. Consultants must document the knowledge, skills, and resources of key team members. If no submittals meet minimum qualifications in any category, the City may decline all and restart the process. Firms are responsible for the costs of preparing submittals. All questions must be submitted exclusively via the City's electronic submission system; communication outside specified channels is strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification from the process.
